The position will be responsible for managing a portfolio of multi-state tax controversies in income, franchice, property, and indirect tax matters. The role will support state income and franchise tax audits, and be involved in all aspects of state income and franchise, property and sales and use tax appeals and litigation, including drafting detailed protests, responding to information document requests, participating in informal/administrative hearings process, performing risk assessments, negotiating resolutions and supporting outside counsel in tax litigation matters. The position will have broad interaction with tax department colleagues and management, corporate finance and business unit personnel, state tax officials and outside counsel.
