Policy Lead, International Criminal, Legal Investigations Support
The Legal Investigations Support (LIS) team manages requests for user data received from Government agencies, courts, and parties in civil litigation. LIS manages these legal requests, processing them through internal tools based on complex internal policy and workflows. LIS aims to strike the best balance between competing forces like legal compliance, Google’s values and policies, and users' rights and freedoms, in order to improve the law, reduce risk, and keep Google running.
The International Criminal team of LIS is responsible for managing all non-U.S. law enforcement requests for user data. As the Policy Lead for International Criminal, you will be the “face of the team” in working with our counsel partners (LEIS - Law Enforcement and Information Security, and RLIT - Regulatory Litigation and Investigations) and other stakeholders on issues related to our operating procedures for data disclosure. You will be the “go-to” person for the team whenever an issue arises in the policy space.
