We are looking for an individual with expertise in patent prosecution and/or patent portfolio management in the chemical and biological arts, or both, with an interest and ability to learn other, new technology areas. This individual will need to think outside the box on how to develop and protect IP in light of contractual agreements surrounding the creation of the IP as well as SRI's short term and long-term plans for licensing the IP (e.g., to an SRI startup), so experience in reading IP provisions on ownership in different types of agreements is important. In house experience is a great bonus, but not necessary. This position reports directly to the Head of IP, Associate General Counsel. Location is flexible, however we will not be accepting applicants from CO or NY.
