The General Counsel is charged with providing legal counsel and assistance in connection with a variety of regulatory and transactional matters with an emphasis on franchise law. This role directly contributes to the success and effectiveness of the development departments in meeting their goals for growth of the Chicken Salad Chick system. This role works closely with the Development Department to prepare the required disclosure documents, to oversee the Franchise Administration Department’s preparation of franchise related agreements, and to ensure compliance with the Federal Trade Commission’s Rule on Franchising. The Franchise & Corporate Counsel is a key resource to the Operations Department and provide assistance and counsel with compliance issues and enforcement of quality standards within Chicken Salad Chick’s Restaurants.
