Counsel, Content Distribution

NBCUniversal Content Distribution negotiates and manages the company’s distribution of all of its television programming, including NBC, Telemundo, Bravo, MSNBC, CNBC, USA, E!, Syfy, Golf, Oxygen, Universal Kids, Universo, and our regional sports networks to online, cable, satellite and virtual TV providers such as Comcast, Hulu, DIRECTV, Sling, YouTube TV and hundreds of others as well as NBCU’s owned-and-operated digital platforms. In addition, we manage the distribution of NBCU’s Peacock direct-to-consumer service via device platforms such as Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple, and Android and of free ad-supported streaming services such as NBC News Now. In addition to negotiating, drafting and managing these agreements, our legal department provides partner marketing support, including with respect to tentpole events such as the Olympic Games and the World Cup, and interacts across NBCUniversal business units (e.g., Ad Sales, Direct-To-Consumer, Sports, Affiliate Relations, Owned Television Stations) to ensure compliance with our agreements and alignment with companywide distribution objectives.
