Counsel - Compliance Assurance is charged with developing and overseeing the Compliance Monitoring/Proactive Compliance program within the Ethics & Compliance function of the GM Legal Staff. The primary responsibility is to lead the compliance department’s use of data and analytics. The compliance assurance counsel will harness data to better identify legal and compliance risks and proactively address compliance issues. Compliance assurance counsel will help develop and lead risk assessments, program assessments, and continuous monitoring at the direction of the Ethics & Compliance function’s leadership. This position reports to the Lead Counsel, Compliance and Regional Compliance Officer, North America.
