The Compliance Counsel–Global Trade Compliance is responsible for supporting the Verizon Compliance program, focusing on export and import controls and sanctions compliance. The position is for an experienced lawyer with expertise in export laws, including International Traffic in Arms Regulations, Export Administration Regulations, Executive Orders regarding trade compliance, and U.S. sanctions laws. The Compliance Counsel–Global Trade Compliance will partner closely with Verizon's Import Export Compliance Team, International Logistics Services Team, the Supplier Risk Office, and Supply Chain. The position will work with these teams and other Verizon lawyers to provide legal advice to and improve internal controls within Verizon's lines of business and administrative functions.
